Both destinations are extremely close to each other. A wait line is inevitable at the Acropolis. After purchasing their ticket at the entrance, visitors must queue a second time before climbing the stairs of the Propylaea, the gateway of the sanctuary dedicated to the ancient Greek goddess Athena.
Typically, the ticket lines last one hour long. On days not as busy, the ticket line will still have you waiting up to 30 minutes.
The entry lines can last more than one hour. There is no way to avoid this situation and have a direct entry at the Acropolis.
