Attica Zoological Park

Opened in 2000, the Attica Zoological Park began as a bird park, at the time boasting the third largest bird collection in the world.

Covering an area of 20 hectares in Spata area near Athens International Airport, it hosts more than 2000 animals of 400 species, including reptiles, felines from the African savannah, primates, desert animals, and a host of rare Greek animals.

As the only zoo of its magnitude in Greece, Attica Zoological Park welcomes thousands of visitors each year, providing great entertainment and ample information about wildlife and environmental issues for visitors of all ages.

Admission costs: Adults €21.00, Children (3-12 yrs old) €16.00, Under 3 yrs old Free. Students €16.00. Unemployed Adult Ticket €16.00. People with disabilities €2.00 . There are also several admission packages available to families, and groups.

Attica Zoological Park Educational Programs

Zoo Camp

Zoo camp at the Attica Zoological Park is a unique adventure for children. They have the opportunity to learn about wildlife and natural habitats by doing various fun activities outdoors, as well as in the Education Center. Participants should have with them a change of clothes, a re-usable water bottle, a packed lunch, hat, sunblock and to be wearing comfortable clothes and shoes.

Guided Tours

Guided tour 1- 1.5 hours on almost all of the Park, where your guide provides you with information on the species that you encounter during your tour.

School Programs

ENVIRONMENTAL DISCOVERY & LEARNING PROGRAMS

The Interactive Programs are hands-on educational programs, where our guests learn about the natural world through contact with live animals, natural artifacts (biofacts), multimedia presentations, videos and interactive activities such as educational games, arts and crafts.

The Interactive Programs are follwing an age division: 1) for the 5 – 7 year olds, 2) for the 7-9 year olds, 3) for the 10 - 12 years old and 4) for the 12 years and older. The duration of the interactive programs is 1 hour. Supervising parents and teachers attend session for free. Maximum number of participants 30, whereas Kindergarden and Preschool groups no more than 20.

OPENING HOURS
Our Park operates daily from 9:00 am until sunset. The entrance of the park closes one hour before sunset.
The dolphin area is open to the public during the following hours: 11:00 up to 12:30, 13:00 up to 14:30, 15:00 up to 16:30
